Teachers understand that children learn differently.
The teacher understands how pupils differ in their approaches to learning and the barriers that impede learning and can adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of pupils, including those with disabilities and exceptionalities.

Evidence 1: Using iPods In the Classroom--iPod Websites
Rationale 1: Rationale 1: The list of websites that were collected, show a variety of ways an iPod Touch can be used in a classroom. iPods are a diverse educational learning tool that will motivate and engage all students in their learning. The iPod Touch technology is very adaptable to all learning types. I can use this technology to assist any child, at any ability level in their learning through apps, games, podcasts, and listening activities.

3.K.1 The teacher understands and can identify differences in approaches to learning and performance, including different learning styles, multiple intelligences, and performance modes, and can design instruction that helps use students’ strengths as the basis for growth.
Due to the wide range of skill levels in my classroom, I can use the iPods to diversify learning to the many learning styles/types in my classroom. The list of websites helps to identify the variety of uses in a classroom, such as educational apps, games, literacy/phonemic activities as well as songs and stories. I can plan learning centers with iPods to re-teach a skill, practice or challenge a students learning.

This assignment helped me to find age/level appropriate resources/activities with the iPod to meet the needs of my students.

The use of iPods in the classroom helped raise my awareness of what can be accomplished in classrooms that incorporate iPods as a learning tool. The websites show how this technology can be adapted to any learning level/ability to help a student be successful.
